Teacher's Orientation Programme - Anantapur

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, Anantapuramu in collaboration with Sri Sathya Jyothi Trust Anantapur, has conducted a One Day Orientation Program on Human Values and Balvikas for Teachers at Anantapur on 29-6-2014.

This orientation programme was conducted as a public awareness activity as part of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 90th birthday and SSSS Organisation’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The programme started with lighting of the lamp at 10.20 AM, followed by prayer. Dr. R. Ramachandra Murthy, convener Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Anantapur first detailed the importance of this series of orientation programmes on human values and Balvikas for teachers being conducted in Anantapur district.

The first talk was by Sri Kota Siva Kumar, director, INSAI, Hyderabad. He said we are all one with one atma. He beautifully explained how the humble “PENCIL” can give us valuable lessons. He gave valuable advice to the teachers.

The second speaker was Sri B. Balagangadhar, Lecturer in English, retired, he said there is no world without teacher, emphasising the role of a teacher.

The third speaker was Dr. R. Ramachandra Murthy, gave a powerpoint presentation on the topic of teachers’ role.

Smt M. Madhavilatha Dist.Coordinator, Spiritual Wing stressed the importance of values in the school curriculum. Smt Geetha Sukumar and her team of Balvikas gurus explained with examples, small stories and posters, how we can imbibe noble values in the minds of young students. The games she demonstrated to teach human values were well received by the participants. Seventy five teachers participated in this programme.

District office bearers, various subcommittee coordinators members and Dr. R. Ramachandra Murthy, Dr. R Venugopal Setty, Sri. N. Nagabhushanam, Sri. K. Sanjiva Reddy, Sri. C Lingamaiah, participated actively in the meeting. The programme ended with harathi to Swamy. Twelve sevadal volunteers looked after the arrangements.
